About Steve Rose

Sacred Call is blessed to have two different gentlemen singing the bass part for the group; David Edwards and Steve Rose.  Since David Edwards is a Minister of Music actively involved in ministry in his church, we knew this would definitely be challenging in terms our being able to consistently sing as a mixed quartet, particularly on Sunday mornings and made even more challenging when we were ministering outside of Oklahoma.  As we were forming the group back in March, 2021, our good friend Steve Rose indicated his interest and availability to sing with us and/or serve as our sound technician.  Prayers answered, concerns relieved - what a blessing!  We are so thankful for the servant’s heart each of these gentlemen possess and their willingness to be part of the ministry of Sacred Call.

Steve grew up in a God-honoring home.  He and his seven siblings (3 brothers, 4 sisters) were in church at every opportunity.  He sang his first solo at the age of seven (Stop and Tell Somebody) and he’s been trying to live up to the words in that song for 63 years, accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in September, 1958.  Steve’s first quartet experience was singing with Heaven Bound (also known as Saved by Grace in later years), at First Assembly of God in Bentonville, AR in 1982.  He went on to form the group Trinity River Revival based out of Tonitown, AR before joining New Revival Quartet in 2007 who he sang with through December, 2021.  One of his Steve’s favorite scriptures is found in Revelation 3:20-21 where it says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him and sup with him and He with Me.  To Him that overcometh, will I grant to sit with Me in My throne even as I overcame and am sit down with My Father in His throne.”
